Feature & Follow Friday #12

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Q:Have you ever convinced someone to read a book, a series, or a whole genre? What book(s) and who was it? Did they like it?

I must proudly admit that I'm the queen of persuading people to read books or even the whole series, if I think they will undeniably enjoy it. My friends often tell me that I remind them of Alice Cullen haha, with the exception that I don't use puppy eyes technique ;)

Anyway, I think I had most success persuading friends to read The Healer series Maria V. Snyder, which I love immensely (the review of book 3 is in the making atm). I remember I made my 2 best friends to read the whole series, and then when I moved to UK, I introduced some of my course mates and some other friends to this series as well.

Another really good book that I showed to my friends is Just Don't Fall by Josh Sundquist. Now, this book is completely different to what I usually read, however it was so funny and interesting read. I definitely challenge all of you t give this book a go :)

Have a magical weekend, and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin, if you don't already!

  1. YAY! Love for Maria's books!! I was able to get my friend hooked on my paranormal reads! Didn't take much since she drifted to Twilight on her own, but I offered her more options afterwards!! Wasn't sure if she would like fantasy books so I hadn't bought her Maria's, but then she mentioned she liked another fantasy author's and how she kept hoping I'd get her Maria's books at Christmas--when we exchange books for one another!

So yeah, that's definitely going in her stocking this year! ;)

  2. Our book club encourages reading just about EVERYTHING! We vote on monthly group reads to discuss. Sometimes we hate 'em; sometimes we love 'em. The most important thing is to have fun, right?

  4. I love getting someone else excited and interested in a series or author that I have loved, it is so much fun having someone (especially in person) to talk to books about.

  5. I haven't heard of either series or novel, but they sound good! I'm at uni currently and unfortunately most of us hardly seem to have any time for leisure reading, but whenever they do I try and sneak a book into their lives! I'm a new Bloglovin' and GFC follower! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you had a great weekend!
