Synopsis

Kara Laquin wanted nothing more than to forget. Forget the past, live in the present, and ignore the future. When a massive solar flare destroys all electronics and throws the country into chaos, Kara is nearly a whole state away from her lost love, Blaine. He can wait only three days before moving on. With access to fuel limited, she must do anything necessary to get to him before he is forced to move on, but society is crumbling around her. Looters and murderers prowl the cities during the day, and something even worse roams at night.

What I liked

I wasn't exactly sure if I would like this book at the beginning but, oh my, this book turned out incredibly well. Once I dug into the story, I couldn't stop reading. I was captured by an insane amount of action, and unpredictable twists that just kept coming and coming.
What made it even better were the characters. Kara Laquin is very easy to relate to. Her relationship with   Blaine is friendly at first, but it was very easy to predict that things were going to change later on in the story.
There were also other interesting characters like Blaine's best friend Jared. I felt like Jared would do anything for Blaine and Kara, which really showed how deep their friendship was.
I really liked how this book was written, and the flow that it had.

What I didn't like

I'm not a big fan of slow starts in books, but it didn't bother me as much in this one. Although, I really, really, really wished that this book was longer. I know that it's a novella, so it's not supposed to be 400 pages long, but come on, with a cliffhanger like this at the end? Really? So, now I'm lost. I need the sequel. Dear Krista Madden, if you don't release the second book quickly I will hack into your computer (well I'm lame with computers, so I'll most likely find someone to do it for me, haha) and read it.

Overall Thought

3 Days is a catching, breathtaking YA book. It's filled with fast-paced action and really creepy Intruders. There were moments when I felt goose bumps while reading this book.
The descriptions were vivid and draw you right into the journey. It's very romantic, thrilling, and holds intense  adventure that will leave you salivating for the next in the series.
